Home made vegetable soap recipe

New_place_008
Hello all, well I am back up and running with the exception of a few organizational details. I'm really enjoying the new studio and the nice weather here in Florida! I will soon begin my online videos as I get settled in my new digs and thought I would start with sharing a simple soap recipe that I enjoy and is great for beginners.  If you are new to soap making you might want to cut this recipe in half if you are not confident in your stirring and methods yet.  This recipe is one I found online years ago and have continued to use it at different times.

24 ounces coconut oil
24 ounces olive oil
18 ounces soybean oil
16 ounces palm oil
24 ounces cold water
12 ounces lye

This is a basic all vegetable soap recipe that produces a nice hard bar that has a creamy rich lather, a real joy to use.  Hope you all will enjoy the new things to come this year as I get settled in to my new place, I will be offering online classes and more.  Thanks to all of you that have been waiting patiently for all of this :-)

Sounds like you are enjoying your new location. I hope you post photos of your new studio as I always enjoy seeing soapers spaces.

Thanks for the Facebook links, your photos are great. I love the one with the essential oils. I use to use this soap recipe ages ago and tried it again recently, it's great.
